Regarding Recent Hackings

Recommended Posts

Hello,

As of late, we've been getting a tremendous amount of hacking reports. Another big RSPS has had their database leaked (not rare in the RSPS scene). If you play other servers or weak passwords I STRONGLY urge you to change your password on all your accounts. Forum accounts and In-Game accounts aren't related; they both have different passwords. Please make sure you change your in-game password.

Please enable all of our security features such as, security & bank pins as hackers cannot get through these. When changing your password use the link I'm going to provide to build a strong password. Do not make the mistake of using it on another server as that will make you vulnerable again. We plan on adding 2fa alongside our security measures sometime soon.

For a limited time, I'll be giving everyone 50m who show proof they have taken the precautions mentioned above.

Thanks,

Changing password every couple of weeks wouldn't hurt either. Good to remind people that especially in the rsps scene databases get leaked very frequently.

We needed a heads up, has been a whole lot of hackings recently.

I really recommend people using bank & security pins. You'll never have to use your security pin unless you change IP-address. This makes hacking even harder since whenever they attempt to login they'd have to enter the security pin aswell before being able to perform any actions.

At the end of the day it takes 5 minutes to set all this up & is all for the players well being.

Totally agree on everything written here. Got a security PIN for a while now and it doesn't disturb logging in for myself in any way and it still keeps you safe. If you take all precautions like bank & security PIN, hackers will stand 0 chance. For example a bank-pin is a code that you don't type with your keyboard so keyloggers are unable to register it.

Nice to see that the admins actually try do something about this. Thumbs up ! :D
